Supernigger

"Look--up in the sky! It's a crow! It's a bat! It's ..." A collection of routines (or portions of routines) culled from other Pryor CDs, Supernigger works best as an introduction to the comedian's standup act. If you've only seen the concert films and want to hear what all the fuss is about, Supernigger can whet your appetite. Anyone who's more than a casual fan, however, will likely be turned off by this CD's sloppy editing and jerky transitions from bit to bit. Supernigger still packs a few laughs--particularly if you've never heard Pryor before--but it will appeal most to rabid completists looking to round out their catalog and budding Pryor-philes primed for an overview. --Michael Gerber
