Description
- Industrial Grade YG8 Cemented Carbide: Made from solid cemented tungsten carbide with approx. 8% cobalt binder (ISO K20–K30 Equivalent). Provides a reliable balance of wear resistance and impact toughness for general industrial use.
- Precision Ground Solid Carbide Rod: Centerless ground round rod with consistent diameter and smooth surface finish. Suitable for precision tooling, further grinding, and EDM machining.
- Longer Service Life Than Tool Steel & HSS: Compared with tool steel or high-speed steel, YG8 tungsten carbide offers significantly improved wear life in abrasive environments while maintaining better impact reliability than ceramic materials.
- Ideal for Tool Blanks & Wear Components: Widely used for making woodworking tools, roughing drills, wear-resistant pins, guide rods, shafts, and general-purpose carbide tooling blanks.
- Machining & Brazing Notes: Recommended for diamond grinding and wire EDM. Suitable for silver brazing with proper preheating and slow cooling. Not intended for conventional turning or milling.
