The doppler has 3 working modes including: real time FHR display mode, averaged FHR display mode (an average of 8 FHR- fetal heart rate beats), and manual mode (counts average FHR beats based on the calculating time you choose. The backlit display option lets you see the FHR even in dim lighting.
