Symbiosis

World renowned drummer Jeff Hamilton returns to Capri with his fabulous trio. The trio has been playing together for the last 7 years and all the members are also part of the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, a band that Hamilton is a co-leader of. Israeli born virtuoso pianist Tamir Hendelman and John Clayton's protege, bassist Cristoph Luty, who has a sound reminiscent of the great Ray Brown, make up the rest of the group. The CD's title, Symbiosis, reflects the close and long term interaction of this group. The music is made up of standards not often heard along with a few originals, all superbly arranged.
