- MORE RELIABLE UNDER HEAVY LOAD (THICKER AMPS PLATE & CONNECTION): Thin AMPS base plates often become a weak link in competitor AMPS Mounts. This vulnerability arises when the mounting plate connecting to the ball is too thin, causing the ball to break off the plate. To remedy this industry problem, our AMPS mounts feature a plate that is 2X thicker than some competitors', fortified with more reliable hardware connecting the ball to the AMPS plate for enduring strength under heavy loads.
- BETTER BALL AND SOCKET CONNECTION (Perfectly Round, Perfect Grooves): We take pride in quality machining. Our ball is machined to a tolerance of +/- .005”, and we don’t just throw grooves on our ball because someone else did; they are by design and meet a very strict standard. They are designed to carry a load of up to 2lbs in mobile applications and up to 5lbs stationery with a 7” arm.
