Imperial Japanese Navy Mogami class cruiser, fitted with triple 155mm gun turrets prior to reclassification as a heavy cruiser. Model has optional full or waterline hull, strengthening bulkheads, major components secured with screws (screwdriver included), highly detailed superstructure, decks, ship's boats, deck fittings and weapons (including interchangeable main gun barrels at high and low elevation). Also includes transparent bridge windows and searchlight lenses, durable ABS masts and fine structures, display stand with nameplates, metal anchor chain and propeller shafts, photo-etch parts (propeller guards, foremast lattices, catapult/crane/funnel details, aircraft props and catapult trolleys) plus 3 highly detailed seaplanes (Kawanishi E7K (x1) and Nakajima E8N (x2) with optional wire and plastic stands to depict aircraft in flight). Finishing touches are a color painting guide, printed paper flag sheet and decals for ship and aircraft - including national insignia, tail codes and tail deflection lines. Completed model is approximately 22.2".
