Plus, Calagel contains a maximum strength antihistamine, which reduces swelling. For effective poison sumac, poison oak and poison ivy rash treatment: First use Tecnu Extreme Poison Ivy & Oak Scrub or Tecnu Original Outdoor Skin Cleanser as directed to remove the rash-causing oil, also known as urushiol. Then apply Calagel.
