Originally design and written as a tribute to my father, The Dawn of An Industry chronicles the design of numerous events over the course of renown event designer Richard Carbotti's 30+ career. Hundreds of photos will show how designs, styles and aesthetics have changes, developed and evolved over the course of three decades. Carbotti, as one of the pioneers in the world of special event and wedding design, has been creating custom events and permanent interior design installations ever since his days at Parsons School of Design. This book will demonstrate how experimentation and a desire to carve out new and exciting creative opportunities helped propel an industry forward.
