The Day Gogo Went to Vote: South Africa, 1994

Thembi and her great-grandmother, Gogo, are inseparable. Gogo is so old, she hasn't left the house in years. One day Thembi's parents come home and announce that black South Africans will be allowed to vote for the first time in a government election, and the whole family is astounded when Gogo says she will go out and cast her vote, too. And she insists on bringing Thembi with her!
