The Delany Sisters Reach High

A new children's biography of the Delany sisters who lived to be over 100 years old. One of the sisters was the first African American teacher in New York City schools, and the other was a dentist. Their book, authored by Amy Hill Hearth, was a best seller for many months. Reach High will introduce children to the childhood of these two very special women who followed the advice of their father, a minister and vice-president of St. Augustine's College, in striving to achieve their best. Ages 6-12.
