The First Twenty

Tyler is a 20-year-old student-athlete from Newtown Square, PA. Right before birth in 1998, he suffered an acute ischemic stroke. The stroke affected the dexterity and the muscles on the right side of his body, but that did not stop him from fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a Division 1 athlete. Tyler graduated from The Haverford School in 2018 and has just completed his first year as a member of the men’s varsity squash team at Colby College. Tyler is the oldest of three siblings and continues to reside with his family in Newtown Square. This is his autobiography.
