The Tome of Adventure Design

Not many people know that the famous Tome of Horrors Complete has a companion volume, Tome of Adventure Design. This Tome had a short initial print run and was never sold in retail stores, but for those familiar with it, it's considered a kind of secret masterpiece. ToAD, as most people call it, is a comprehensive process for designing an adventure, using random generation tables in four divisions called "books," to spark different steps in the creative process of designing an adventure. The books range from the overarching "general concept" approach of the first, to designing monsters in Book 2, to Book 3 for designing dungeons, to the final book covering non-dungeon adventures. The Tome of Adventure Design is system neutral with Pathfinder RPG notes.
