Ah, "happily ever after", that satisfying conclusion where everything is wrapped up in a pretty little package. But life doesn't always work that way, does it? What may seem like the end is often only a beginning.



I was no stranger to changing identities -- over the years, I'd used countless aliases to stay alive -- but now that I could stop running, now that I'd found a family to call my own, it would be a new kind of challenge to create a place for myself in it. Regardless of love or good intentions, promises were easier said than kept, and I was still an unconventional woman stepping into a culture dominated by code and manly egos. Becoming "Livia Larter" certainly wouldn't be an easy transition



Torch and I had already fought our share of battles and vowed to hang on to each other for a lifetime, but real tests of perseverance usually don't come until it's time to ditch the honeymoon glow and get back to everyday minutiae. And when every day was going to be spent living under the cloak of the Iron Serpents MC, things were bound to get dicey in no time.
