- MARINE GRADE FINISHING RESIN contains wax so it dries to a tack-free surface ready for sanding, paint, or gel coat application. Used in fiberglass layups as the final coat over sticky polyester laminating resin
- EASY TO USE, PREFERRED BY PROS FOR BUILDING AND REPAIRS: Medium viscosity resin spreads evenly, wets out fiberglass easily, won't sag on vertical surfaces & prevents patter print-through on gelcoat. Ideal for boat building, repairs, and surfboards
- VERSATILE POLYESTER RESIN is easy is to mix with MEKP catalyst and apply by brush or plastic spreader to prepared fiberglass, wood, metal, and composites
- DURABLE, HARD FINISH resists scratches and staining. For a glossy appearance, the cured surface can be wet sanded and buffed to a high shine
- CHOOSE QUART OR GALLON SIZE. Includes MEKP hardener. NOTE: You can even tint polyester fiberglass resin with opaque Pigment Dispersions. If tinting, mix pigment in thoroughly before adding MEKP
High quality two-part polyester finishing resin (also called surfboard resin) is used extensively for marine repairs and restoration. The polyester resin contains wax and cures tack-free forming a hard clear finish. Perfect for top-coating over wood, metal, and composites such as fiberglass. 1 bottle of MEKP (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide) hardener is included with the quart or gallon of marine finishing resin. Engineered with a medium viscosity, the resin minimized dripping and sagging of product on vertical surfaces. The repair resin is typically used for one-coat glasswork or as a final, tack-free, sealer coat over tacky polyester laminating resin coats.
