This is the original Dala Horse from Nusnas, Sweden from the county of Dalarna. This traditional national symbol of Sweden is made of hand-carved wood and painted in the famous workshop of Nils Olsson which was founded in 1928. The wood is from the slow-growing pine forest around Lake Siljan, with only the best timber selected for carving into horses. This high-quality dala horse is a must have for anyone with Swedish heritage, and is a great gift for passing along your Swedish heritage and love of Sweden to the next generation. This red dala horse is 6" (15cm) long.
