- Ashitaba is endemic to Hachijō, an island in the Izu archipelago, a moist subtropical region located to the south of Japan. In the days of the Edo period, natives of the Hachijō Island were reportedly always in the pink of health. They attributed their longevity to Ashitaba, which became known as the ‘Longevity Herb’.
- Today, this unique plant is regarded as a treasure and affectionately referred to as ‘King of Vegetables’ in Hachijō Island. Ashitaba is a rich source of essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, and its sap – chalcone – possesses valuable medicinal properties. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
- Caffeine free – Gluten free – Wheat free – Preservatives free – Additives free – Synthetic Flavourings free Net contents: 17 tea bags (2g each) – 1.2oz/34g
- Ingredients: 100% Wild Harvested Ashitaba (Angelica keiskei) leaf
- Suggested use: Add 1 tea bag per cup and always use freshly drawn and boiled water. Allow to brew for 5 to 10 minutes according to taste. Serve hot, cold or over ice. Avoid during pregnancy. May interact with some prescription drugs – please consult your doctor for advice. Not suitable for babies and young children.
