It provides excellent resistance to water absorption, ozone, sunlight aging, low temperature, and compression set so you can confidently install precisely where needed. To prepare your black foam seals for application, cut to length with scissors or knife. Prior to installation, ensure bonding surface is properly cleaned with a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water solution. Optimum performance is between 25% to 45% compression, with 25% being ideal – less than 25% compression makes the seal less effective, and over 40% places the seal at risk for compression set and failure.
