And you wonâ€™t have to wade through fluff to get to the good stuffâ€¦ This is a one-hour read, and it isn't theory or â€œseems like a good ideaâ€ kind of stuff. It's concise, real-world information based on experience. All meat and potatoes, very little parsley.

The book also includes a bunch of useful links that I've accumulated over several years of vancamping, including virtually all of the best websites you can use to find free camping spots. What's tough to convey in a book like this is the happiness created by self-reliance and the (almost but not quite) omnipotent feeling that comes from being totally self-contained on the road. â€‹
