Twist of Fate

Much as she loved her beautiful actress mother Clea, Joanne could see why Ben Norris considered her 'no better than she ought to be' - but why did he have to carry his hostility over to Joanne, who wasn't at all that kind of girl? In any case, his opinion of Clea hadn't, apparently, prevented him from joining the ranks of her admirers. When Joanne realised why Ben's opinion was so important to her she ran away. Now, five years later, they had met again, and everything had changed. Everything, it seemed, except Ben's infatuation for Clea.
