Description

  • Constructed of industrial grade brass, this valve is corrosion resistant, more conducive for welding, optimal for higher temperature projects, and can be used with gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene oil, natural gas, air etc. Due to the chemical composition of brass, this valve should NOT be used with projects involving drinking water or other water projects.
  • This valve was manufactured with a VITON seal. VITON is the most durable and high performance rubber material with the ability to resist high temperatures and corrosive chemicals and other fluids like gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, and lubricants.
  • This highly responsive valve will open and close in less than 1 second when actuated; meaning it will open or close the flow instantaneously when energized or de-energized. Also, our U.S. SOLID engineers have determined that the life cycle of this valve is well over a million cycles with proper operating conditions and maintenance.
  • PLEASE NOTE: This valve is NOT a continuous duty valve and should NOT be in continuous use for more than 8 hours in a single cycle; to do so will shorten the life of the valve and may cause the core of the valve to burn out. If you need a continuous duty valve for your project please search for our U.S. SOLID Motorized Ball Valves.
  • As with all U.S. SOLID products, this valve comes with a ONE YEAR WARRANTY. If the valve does become defective within the first year of purchase, U.S. SOLID will gladly replace it.

U. S. Solid Normally Closed Electric High Pressure Solenoid Valve;

3/4"ports, brass body, Viton seal, 12 volt DC, for air, water, or oil

U. S. Solid normally closed (N/C) electric high pressure solenoid valve is constructed with a durable brass body, two-way inlet and outlet ports with three-quarter inch (3/4") female threaded (NPT) connections, and heat and oil resistant Viton gasket.

The direct current coil energizes at 12 volts DC; voltage range + or - 10%. 12 Watt power rating.

Pilot-operated valve operates from 10 PSI to a maximum pressure of 232 PSI (0.07 MPa to 1.6 MPa).

3/4" (20 mm) flow aperture permits a unidirectional flow capacity of 7.6 gallons per minute (GPM) of water at 60oFwith a pressure drop of 1 PSI (7.6 Cv).

Operational temperature range is 14 to 248 degrees Fahrenheit; -10 to +120 degrees Celsius. Suitable for outdoor use; not for use underwater.

Suitable for use with hot or cold water, gas, air, very low viscosity fluids (< 20 cst), oils and hydrocarbons, e.g., gasoline, kerosene, or diesel fuel.

Customers chose this general purpose valve for: do-it-yourself projects, moderate temperature applications, harsh chemicals, flow control for irrigation systems, reverse osmosis systems, or to control flow of propane gas.

Valve is not intended to be energized continuously for more than 8 hours. This can lead to burnout of the coil, and malfunctioning of the valve. In cases where this is necessary, it is recommended user install a computer fan to keep valve cool.
