Official Product of Kensight & Ultimate Arms Gear, Brand New. Direct replacement for the Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec Model front sight. This sight has what is called a patridge style blade. The Patridge style is ideal for target shooting because the rear of the blade is completely vertical which gives the shooter a better sight picture. There is virtually no glare from the sun which provides good contrast between the front and rear sight. This particular tenon staked front sight is most commonly seen paired with a Government Dovetail (860-202) rear sight on a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec Model. The blade is 0.215" tall x 0.117" wide and has a 0.080" tenon. The green tritium insert is made and installed by Trijicon. The 0.077" diameter tritium vial glows bright in all low light conditions, while the bright white outline is unmatched for daylight visibility. International shipping not available on this product. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES: Please be sure you are purchasing the correct sight for your existing slide dovetail. If you are unsure of your factory dovetail dimensions, call the manufacture or do some research to be sure this is the correct sight for your dovetail cut. There are a lot of Forums around the internet that will be able to help with this information as well. THE SIGHT WILL NOT JUST "SLIDE IN" TO EXISTING DOVETAILS. DO NOT FILE ON YOUR SLIDE! Kensight sight dovetails are slightly oversized to provide a factory fit. The actual sight dovetails are larger than your existing slide cut, and this is intentional. Each manufacture has slightly different tolerances on the slide dovetail dimensions. The Kensight sight oversized dovetail will need to be filed and fitted to your particular slide dovetail size. We recommend installation from a competent Gunsmith.
