Since 1916 Paesano has been making its Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Partanna, Sicily from 100% Sicilian olives. Paesano Sicilian Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced once a year in October. Only olives from only the best trees on Paesano's farms are used, and only the first cold press is collected and bottled. The unfiltered oil has a cloudy appearance, low acidity, and full body. The herbaceous and 'pizzicante', or spicy, flavored oil is a fresh, genuine expression of the olives. Paesano Sicilian Unfiltered Extra Virgin Olive Oil should not be heated, but should absolutely be enjoyed over grilled meats, salads, soups and pastas. It is an exceptionally healthy diet addition, rich in polyphenols, which are known for their antioxidant effects and lowering the risk of coronary diseases.
