Adventure Music announces the re-release of another Windham Hill Records recording that from decades past which has been painstakingly re-mastered and repackaged. Michael Manring is considered the foremost solo electric bassist in America. He was Windham Hills house bassist for many years and forged close ties with many of the great artists on the label such as Michael Hedges and multi-instrumentalist Mike Marshall, and he has performed in concert halls around the world with musicians such as Alex Skolnick, Henry Kaiser, Thomas Dolby, and John Gorka. Manring has made two gold records, received Grammy and Bammie nominations, and was voted Bass Magazines bassist of the year in 1994. He created his own instantly identifiable sound, a remarkable feat for any musician, and it all began with this 1986record, full of lovely bittersweet melodies and lustrous, warm low end.
