The optional full tray fits inside the main drawer of the slide-away and has 1 inch depth and is 10 3/4 long. The full tray is large enough to fit an I pad or computer tablet inside, yet leaves ample room underneath for addition items such as two pistols and extra magazines. The full tray simply hands on the outer edges of the main drawer and can be quickly removed lifting it straight up for quick access to the contents on the underneath side. If you are looking for something to secure your I pad and pistols) this added items makes a lot of sense. The tray is made of 16 gauge steel, powder coated with semi-gloss black paint and the bottom is lined with thin Grey foam carpeting.
