Description
- Function: The neutral safety switch is a safety device to ensure that the vehicle can only start the engine when the gearbox is in neutral (manual gear) or park /P gear (automatic gear).
- Location: usually located on the transmission housing or connected with the gear shifting mechanism,
- When the driver puts the shift lever in the correct position and presses the start button or turns the key, the switch will send a signal to the start system to allow the engine to start.
- If it is not in neutral or P position, the switch will prevent the start signal from being transmitted, thus preventing accidental movement.
- Improve safety: avoid accidental slipping or collision caused by misoperation.
