Monica Brownâ€™s Peruvian American heritage has inspired in her a desire to share Latino stories with children. Her books have garnered starred reviews, the AmÃ©ricas Award, two Pura BelprÃ© Author Honors, and the prestigious Rockefeller Fellowship on Chicano Cultural Literacy.
