Wimberley AK-100 Sidekick Safety Plate - Made in USA
- For use with Wimberley Sidekicks produced before May 2018. The AK-100 is not necessary for the current version of the SK-100
- Due to concerns about the security of limited clamping force of lever style clamps, the AK-100 is highly recommend when using a Sidekick
- Includes bottom stop-screw to insure that the Sidekick cannot slide out of your ball head’s quick release when loosened
- Attaches to base of Sidekick using existing mounting holes, Anodized 6061 Aluminum, stainless steel fasteners
- Machined dovetail that better conforms to limited clamping range of lever-style clamps, providing for better clamping pressure
About the AK-100 Sidekick Safety Plate
The AK-100 attaches to the Wimberley Sidekick, providing a dovetail width that conforms to the limited clamping range of lever-style clamps. (Traditional twist-knob clamps will work with the AK-100 as well.)
The AK-100 also provides a stop-screw to insure that the Sidekick cannot accidentally slide out of your ball head's quick-release clamp.
