- SPECS - You will receive a 300-mm precision woodworking square. Accurate to within 0.001 inch along the full length of the tool. Made in the USA.
- BUILT WITH PRECISION - Our precision woodworking squares start the manufacturing process as a solid piece of very expensive, extremely stable, cast aluminum tool plate. The plate is then carefully machined in multiple, high RPM passes on our state-of-art CNC equipment. The result is a single-piece ruler and handle square. This manufacturing process insures accuracy to within .001 inch or less along the full length of the tool.
- STRENGTH & ACCURACY - Once we have a perfect square, we add two pieces of precision-machined aluminum to form the cheeks of the handle. These cheeks are fitted to the handle with two stainless steel dowel pins that ensure bulletproof rigidity and perfect alignment when pressed into their precision-machined holes. This kind of strength and accuracy simply cannot be matched by squares made using separate ruler and handle parts or punched-out on a stamping press.
- FEATURES GALORE - The inside edge of the of the square’s handle features a shoulder to allow it to lay flat on the work so you can accurately mark either edge of the rule. The thick base even makes it easy to stand the rule upright to check square on your table saw blade, jointer fence, band saw blade and other machinery setup operations.
- MORE FEATURES - With the square standing upright, checking casework parts for square is an effortless, hands-free operation. We even mill a notch at the inside corner of the square so you can “zero-out” your layout line all the way to the edge of your work. Easy to read measurement scales are laser etched in 1/16th increments on both sides of the ruler. Comes with Rack-It wall mount.
The 1281 Square starts as a solid piece of very expensive, extremely stable cast aluminum tool plate. This large plate is carefully machined in multiple high RPM passes on our state-of-art CNC equipment. The result is a single piece square with a 12" blade and 8" handle. Our manufacturing process insures the 1281 Square is accurate to within one thousandth of an inch or less along the full length of the tool. Far higher degree of square then what is possible with the typical two piece design. Two additional pieces of precision-machined aluminum form cheeks for the handle. These cheeks are fitted to the square with two stainless steel pins that ensure bulletproof rigidity and perfect alignment. Easy to read measurement scales are laser etched in 1/16 the increments on both sides of the blade. We also offer the 1281 Square in metric, 1mm scales. All 1281 Squares come in a custom-fitted case that's ready to mount on your shop wall
