Will not work with a regular pair of TRS headphones (2 black rings). You have to make sure that your devices use a CTIA/AHJ 2.5mm TRRS connection and not a 2.5mm TRS connection, otherwise the cable will not work. The connections will not line up properly and you will hear static and/or mono sound.
