Invented over 60 years ago by pediatric dentists and doctors, the NUK pacifier is modeled after the natural shape of mom's nipple while breastfeeding. This makes for an easy transition from breast to pacifier and back. The NUK heart-shaped shield fits perfectly under baby's nose for easier breathing and prevents irritation. Now all NUK pacifiers are available in a reusable storage case that allows for easy cleaning in the microwave. Prior to First Use:

Sanitize the pacifiers by boiling in water for 5 minutes. For Continued Cleaning: Add at least 0.7oz/20mL of water (to the bottom of the fill line ton the case). WARNING: Using less than 0.7oz/20mL of water to case may cause warping of the case and/or pacifier. Place one case at a time in the microwave with nipple facing down and the case closed for 4 minutes at 700 up to 1250W. Before removing contents, let cool for 5 minutes. Carefully remove case from microwave, open case, and pour excess water out. CAUTION: HOT STEAM may escape case when opened. Check the temperature of the pacifiers before use! Periodically wash the case and pacifier with hot water and mild detergent then rinse clean. Water may get inside pacifier during cleaning and can be removed by squeezing the nipple. Dry thoroughly before storage. For hygiene and safety, replace the case and pacifiers after 2 months of use.
WARNING: Use care when removing case from microwave as hot water and steam collect inside. Case is intended for use only with the NUK pacifiers sold in the case. DO NOT place case on metallic grill that comes with some microwave ovens. Follow the instructions above for your microwave oven. DO NOT HEAT FOR MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED TIME!

WARNING: To prevent possible choking hazard, test before each use by pulling the nipple in all directions checking for cuts or tears. Do not use if the nipple is damaged. If latex, discontinue use if it becomes sticky, enlarged, cracked, torn, or shows other signs of excessive wear.

CAUTION: Do not attach ribbons or cords through ventilation holes. Do not leave baby unattended while using a pacifier. Note: If the pacifier becomes lodged in the mouth, remove it as gently as possible. It is designed so that it cannot be swallowed.
