O'Keeffe's began more than 20 years ago in an arid region on the California-Oregon border. Bill O'Keeffe was a rancher and diagnosed diabetic who loved his work; however, the tough lifestyle took a toll on his skin. His daughter, Tara, seeing the discomfort caused by his chronically dry skin, was driven to find a product to provide relief.
