Justin Bieber shuts down Roosevelt Field Mall
New York police shut down a mall appearance of hugely popular pop singer Justin Bieber, after a crowd of young girls numbering into the thousands, pitched up and got a bit too rowdy on 20 November. The 15-year-old YouTube sensation turned R&B singer was to appear at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City when 3,000 teens and adults pitched up to shove and push their way into a cancelled event.
Five of the fans were hospitalised with minor injuries. Vice president of Bieber’s record label was taken into custody for not cooperating with officials to disperse the crowd. Bieber told WBLI radio that police turned him away even though eager fans had camped outside the mall the night before to see the star.
The first part of the singer’s two-part debut album My World, saw four pre-release singles, all referring to love and girls, what the pop star wants for Christmas. The musician told Twistmagazine that he would love to spend the holidays with a girlfriend and is currently single.
Justin Bieber’s album My World is available from WantItAll at the Best Price of R178.00.
