Apple secret preview spreads rumours
of iPhone 4.0 and the iTablet (iPad)
Recent invitations to preview Apple’s
latest offerings went out for the 27th of January, creating quite a
stir and innumerable rumours. Speculation has it that the hardware giant
are showcasing their much-hyped iTablet, whereas the more conservative
are assuming a new version of the iPhone OS to be released – the operating
system to be used on iPhone 4.0 and perhaps Tablet.
More than rumours, the iPhone 4.0
will be released sometime in 2010 to bring Apple’s mobile device up
to competitor levels. According to exclusive information released to
Boy Genius Report, the new iPhone comes with a range of well-needed
features.
The multi-touch gestures will work
across the whole OS, which is probably the reason for the rumours that
it will be the same operating system on the iTablet. The new version
of the infamous mobile will also be replete with multitasking – the
ability to run applications in the background, currently missing in
both 3G and 3GS versions.
The user-interface and graphics changes
will make it easier to navigate. Exactly what this means, they cannot
say. Neither can they provide further comment on the new syncing capabilities
for the contacts and calendar apps.
According to Boy Genius Report’s
source at Apple, the new update will only be available for 3G and 3GS
versions. Once it hits the market, rumours have it that the iPhone 4.0
will overtake the smartphone market as it will function more like a
fully-fledged computer – a small iTablet perhaps.
