Chelsea Handler takes on George W. Bush with her latest title

Comedian Chelsea Handler and bestselling author of “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea” releases her next bestselling non-fiction title: “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang”. In her true comedic style, Handler takes on adulthood, childhood and daughter hood with pranks on the boyfriend, aquatic life and being airlifted of the rooftop to her friend’s wedding.

The compilation of essays by E! TV’s “Chelsea Lately” follows her into different realms of dysfunctional, which although being difficult to relate to, are highly amusing. She offers a vivid portrayal of her home life, replete with volatile relationships with her likewise amusing siblings that seem almost too chaotic to be true–which makes this book a great piece of not-entirely-nonfiction, like Philippa Gregory’s repertoire.

Her book pushed George W. Bush’s chief political advisor Karl Rove’s “Courage and Consequence” (about George W. Bush’s presidency) off the top spot. Kathie Lee Gifford asked the bombshell what she thought of going up against Bush like that. She replied by saying that she’s wildly attracted to Bush, the silver fox and that her publishers never even told her they were both up for a top spot in New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction list.

After being told that it didn’t matter because her book and Rove’s appeal to different audiences, she joked “There’s a lot of really, really stupid people out there that might buy [his] book. Look what happened to Sarah Palin.” Rove has not responded.

Chelsea Handler’s “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” is available from WantItAll for the Best Price of R405.
