Useless BlackBerry® accessories?
The growing popularity of smartphones has come with a wave of essential accessories for the Research in Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry®. With these essential accessories have come a few, well… non-essential accessories that many a user and his wallet can do without. An article by CIO.com lists 14 useless accessories for BlackBerry® and iPhone®, but we thought three of them were not completely uncool.
The Aquapac
RIM know that their smartphone, BlackBerry® and water don’t mix, which
is probably why they didn’t come up with the BlackBerry® aquapac:
Aquapac International did. The PVC-free electronics case now enables
smartphone users to take their gadget with them wherever they go, from
bath to beach the BlackBerry® can go swimming with you. While this may
not be self-evident at first, the pack enables users to protect their
Berries from dust, sand and… the sharks they’re filming off the shore of
Gansbaai.
The Oakley-Motorola Bluetooth™ shades
You know how when you’re driving with your sunglasses on and your
smartphone starts to ring, you have to remove your shades to put in your
headset? Yeah, me neither. But now Oakley and Motorola have developed
the ingenious Razwire sunglasses that enable you to withstand UV rays
and use your headset. The sunglasses are Bluetooth™ enabled. Making you
look like Blade the vampire slayer is just a plus!
The Bluetooth™ bracelet
Making ringtones and vibration obsolete, the Bluetooth™ bracelet
vibrates on your wrist whenever you get a call or move more than five
metres away from your phone. This means that instead of that irritating
vibration from your bag on your hip to the sound of Black Eyed Peas’ “I
got a feeling”, you get just plain annoying vibrating on your wrist to
the sound of “I got a feeling” five metres away. That’s totally
necessary.
If you’re looking for useful BlackBerry® accessories, such as the BlackBerry® Skin for Curve to protect your phone from normal house dust and being sat on, then you can get it from WantItAll.
