HTC
Incredible Droid
The Droid Incredible by HTC is the future of
computing in the palm of your hand. The super-sleek phone is less than
half an inch thick, and yet it packs powerful components such as a 1
GHz processor, 8-megapixel
camera, and a large high-resolution screen. Featuring the Android
OS with Google, the Droid Incredible gives you access to all your
social networks, websites, and thousands of applications, including
Google Navigation with turn-by-turn directions.
HTC Corporation has implemented several features to market its
Incredible including an FM tuner, 8 megapixel camera, and dual LED
flash. The FM tuner requires headphones to be plugged in to be usable,
since the headphones themselves act as the radio antenna. It is
possible to play the FM radio over the phone's built-in speaker, but headphones are
still required to be plugged in. The phone will come equipped with
Android 2.1 (also known as Eclair) and HTC Sense.
Unlike the Nexus One,
the Droid Incredible features an optical mouse pointer as opposed to a
trackball. It was unclear how much RAM was going to be included with
the device. The leaked user manual indicates 576 MB RAM while official
specification sheets have claimed it has 512 MB RAM. The 8 megapixel
camera is capable of recording video at a resolution of up to 800x480
(WVGA) in addition to capturing still photos. Recorded videos may be
compressed in either MP4
or H.263 format. The Incredible officially supports tethering (using
the phone's network signal to connect a computer to the internet) by
Verizon, aside from doing it via free/paid software.
Whether you're watching a Hollywood blockbuster or the latest YouTube
sensation, the Droid Incredible beautiful HD screen provides an
impressive experience. To listen to your music collection, simply plug
your stereo headset into the 3.5mm jack. You can sync your music from
your computer, and create and manage playlists right from the phone.
With support for the Amazon MP3 Store, you can download songs and
listen to them right away.
