Bleach
has been continuously serialized in the Japanese manga anthology Weekly
Shonen Jump since August 2001, and has been collected in 44 tankobon
volumes as of April 2010. Since its publication, Bleach has
spawned a substantial media franchise. The manga has been adapted into
an animated television series produced by Studio Pierrot which is still
ongoing in Japan as it adapts the story from the manga. The series has
also spawned two original video animations (OVAs), three animated
feature films, seven rock musicals, and numerous video games, as well as
prompted the release of many types of Bleach-related
merchandise.
This season, along with season five, is not a direct adaptation of
the Bleach manga by Tite Kubo; the plot focuses on the
introduction of the Bount, a race of humans that consume human souls to
extend their lives, and their conflicts with Ichigo Kurosaki and his
allies. This season lasted twenty-seven episodes.
The steam gets hotter between the evil Bounts and the Bleach heroes it
progresses and grows wider and fiercer as Ichigo and friends,
reinforced by a group of Soul Reapers, try to take the fight to their
hideout. But the Bounts have many tricks up their sleeves, and it looks
like certain defeat for Ichigo and his comrades.Uryu, who had lost his
Quincy powers, is the key to the Bount leader Kariya’s plans for
revenge against the Soul Society, as well as the key to his defeat.
Will Uryu be able to regain his powers in time to save his friends?
