EOS 1000D
Canon
1000D is a 10.1 mega pixel digital single reflex lens camera
announced by cannon on June 10 2008, and started shipping in mid August
of 2008. It is known as the EOS Kiss F in Japan and the EOS
Rebel XS in the United States and Canada. The 1000D is an
entry-level DSLR that has been described as being a step below the
450D. The camera shares few features with the 450D, it offer live view
shooting, DIGIC III Processor, and SDHC media storage. However, it has
seven focus points (opposed to nine) and does not have spot light
metering. The 1000D is also the second Canon EOS model (after the 450D)
to exclusively use SD
Card and SDHC memory storage instead of Compact Flash. The 1000D
is unable to record video.
Experience high quality digital photography minus the hassle, the EOS
1000D’s uncomplicated, gimmick-free design invites you to pick it up
and start shooting immediately. Controls and markings have been
enlarged, resulting in a thicker Mode Dial and larger Cross keys.
Additionally, the tall, newly designed rubber grip and rear anti-slip
thumb brace assure a firm, positive grip even when operating
one-handed.
To assure precise composition, viewfinder coverage is a spacious 95%.
And for added convenience, camera settings are displayed in the
viewfinder and can also be shown on the LCD monitor.
