HTC Desire gets Android 2.2 to compete with iPhone 4

One of the key competitors of Apple’s iPhone, the HTC Desire will be receiving an upgrade to Android 2.2 in the third quarter of this year. Along with the HTC Desire, the HTC Wildfire and HTC Legend will also receive an update.

The upgrade comes after Apple dropped the iPhone 4 with its upgraded iOS4 and it’s improved functionality. According to HTC, the Android 2.2 is necessary.
