Description

The Hip Priests started as a rough joke between guitarist Austin Rocket and bassist Lee Love, just as an option to improve the Nottingham, UK punk scene, somewhere drunkenly remembered as 2006. Through the years, they managed to learn a bit about how to play instruments, write more of their debauchery into their songs, and somehow collected a fanbase throughout the UK and spreading into Europe. Other bands, such as Nashville Pussy and The Dwarves began enjoying these heathens opening for them. Multiple labels worked alongside The Hip Priests to put out well over twenty singles, somehow continuing their infamy. Should you enjoy great sleaze based punk rock blending Zeke's speed, Hellacopter's riffs, and Alice Cooper's glam thrills, The Hip Priests would be a good start for you to see what's going on under the hood of the UK's rock scene. Those Fuckin' Boys - A Decade of Disdain covers the multiple line up changes throughout the years, switching styles from garage punk, 70's glam rock, street punk, and plain old rock n roll blending seamlessly, exhibiting a range of influences, and a skill level that could put your top 40 pop punk bands to shame.
