They all hail from the same native
country of Italy and are here, or perhaps should I say they have already
taken the world by storm with their immaculately god given talent of
singing pop-opera. In this trio group, you will find three fresh-faced
teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca
Ginoble (16) whom their humble inception of the group came about in 2009
when they appeared on the popular Italian talent show "Ti Lascio Una
Canzone" and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of
the Neapolitan standard "O Sole Mio." The boys, who won the competition
easily, decided their group needed a name. "Il Volo," meaning "flight,"
was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were
about to spread their wings and fly. From there onwards they just want
to fly higher than an eagle as they keep on mesmerizing their audiences
with their songs that you can find on their debut self titled album.
Thanks to their manager Michele Torpedine who is no stranger to managing
world’s famous superstars such as Andrea Bocelli and Italian rock star Zucchero to be who they are.

gold status and still going strong, which one can attribute to the fact
that maybe its international version that was released earlier this
year came at an exceptional timing as it was promoted in the United
States with a performance during the final 3 results show of
the American Idol's tenth season when they performed one of their single
called “O Sole Mio” there. The young lads worked with the seasoned
producer Humberto Gatica juxtaposing between two places that is Rome and
Los Angeles to make the final touches. All in all the album
