The light also works as a mood light, with over 256 colors to choose from. Thanks to the innovative connection between the smartphone and daylight lamp, you can control the brightness and color using the Beurer LightUp App. Exposure to sunlight increases the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. This is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused. At night, darker lighting cues trigger the brain to make another hormone called melatonin. This hormone is responsible for helping a person feel sleepy and go to sleep. Without enough sunlight exposure, a person’s serotonin levels can dip low. Our daylight lamp simulates the natural sunlight with a light intensity of around 10,000 lux – normal electric light in the home or office has a lighting intensity of only 500 lux and is unable to affect the hormonal balance. To use the 2-in-1 daylight with the smartphone, simply download the free Beurer LightUp app. The daylight lamp is connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Now you can control the daylight brightness and mood light. You control the mood light using the Beurer LightUp App. Choose between ten preset mood light scenes, each with brightness control and a timer. When you have activated a mood light scene, a mood light with color change begins to light up. In addition, you can manually select a color from 256 different nuances via the app. The compact size of the daylight lamp is possible thanks to modern LED technology.
