The Grey Foreigners: The Norman Conquest of Celtic Ireland (the normans)

At the very edge of the known world the Normans embarked on the Conquest of Celtic Ireland. The first Gaelic-Irish who saw these strange mounted warriors covered from head to toe in steel, called them “the Grey Foreigners”. In an epic struggle that would last over 750 years the Irish fought against a cruel warrior race that had already destroyed Anglo-Saxon England and Celtic Wales.
