- All glass traditional Chinese design with simple water airlock, no plastic or rubber gaskets

For making pickled and fermented products, the traditional style Chines jar features a simple water airlock without the use of rubber gaskets or seals. Clear glass allows you to keep an eye on your product. This is our largest jar with a full 2 gallon capacity and over 3 inch diameter neck opening for easy loading. The airlock on this jar is extremely simple; without the use of plastic tubes, chambers or rubber gaskets. Simply add water to the rim and cap off the lid. The water creates an air-tight seal around the base of the cap, allowing naturally occurring gasses to escape, but no air to enter the jar.
