The Boyz II Men were introduced to the world in the mid-‘90s and ever since they have been blazing us with their songs of all times. They are inspired equally by new jack swing, urban contemporary, and ‘60s and ‘70s soul. Legacy: Greatest Hits Collection is the foursome's biggest hits, beginning with their dynamic first singles Motownphilly; it sounds positively funky compared to the lush balladry that followed. In 2010, ‘One Sweet Day’ was still holding the all-time record with sixteen weeks at the top of the Hot 100. Boyz II Men are the only artists that have stayed at the number one spot for over 50 times, just fourth behind Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Mariah Carey. They hold the numbers one, three and four spots for 3 of the longest running singles in music history with ‘One Sweet Day, I'll Make Love to You and End of the Road’. These achievements were enough to earn Boyz II Men recognition as Billboard Magazine's most successful musical group of the ‘90s.
The group was founded during 1988 at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
