It is the very latest fresh from death release form the Glee Cast and they are bringing you the 2011 holiday release, the second volume of Christmas tunes performed by the cast of the television series Glee. Here on the Christmas Album Volume 2 expect nothing but the fresh sounds that will cater and go well with the festive mood needed at this time of the year and the mood they bring to the songs they have covered just makes the CD a must have and listen. This latest soundtrack album that was released under Columbia Records early this month features twelve Christmas tunes: ten covers and two original songs. The original songs are both written by Adam Anders, Peer Åström and Shelly Peiken: "Extraordinary Merry Christmas" and "Christmas Eve with You". In addition to featuring twelve of the starring characters from the television show's third season (only Dianna Agron, Jane Lynch and Harry Shum, Jr. are not listed), all four of the finalists from The Glee Project are featured: Damian McGinty solos on "Blue Christmas", Samuel Larsen is featured with Cory Monteith and Mark Salling on "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", and runners-up Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell duet on "Do You Hear What I Hear?" together with the other rest youll be glad to lend an ear to.

No need to doubt this CD because you clearly do know well what this 15 cast ensemble is made up of since their previous discs holds the record for most charted songs by an act in the 52-year history of the Billboard Hot 100, with 156 appearances. Two singles, "Teenage Dream" and "Loser Like Me", charted in the top ten in the US and Canada; the former is also the only single from the second season to have been certified gold in the US. They also put 47 singles in top 40 on Billboard Hot 100 (behind only by Madonna with 48 singles, The Beatles with 51 singles, Elton John with 56 singles and Elvis Presley with 104 songs). As of October 2011, the cast has sold over 11 million albums worldwide, and over 36 million Glee songs have been downloaded digitally.
