takes place the before the events of the first tournament and tells the
background stories of several characters from the franchise, culminating
in their reasons for participating in the upcoming tenth Mortal Kombat
tournament, on which the first game was based.

series is a non-linear anthology, with each episode independent of the
rest, and devoted to the story of a specific character or characters.
Boosting the immensely talented casting crew that makes this martial
arts series to stand out are the ones of Michael Jai White as
Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs who’s
a Major in the Deacon City police department and Sonya's loyal partner,
together with ones such as Jeri Ryan playing the character of Sonya
Blade without forgetting the role of kano played by Darren Shahlavli who
together with the other ones in their chosen roles rose to the occasion
