An Affair to Remember [Blu-ray Book]
It is one of the world’s
most heartrending films of all times that you as a avid follower of
such collectible films to watch it as it is one of those films that you
need to watch before you die. And that film which I happen to have here
with me is nonetheless yours truly here called An Affair to remember
which is the bitter sweet love story of two lovebirds who are caught up
in a love triangle Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant),
a well-known playboy and dilettante in the arts, meets Terry McKay
(Deborah Kerr) aboard the transatlantic ocean liner SS Constitutionen
route from Europe to New York. Each is involved with someone else. In
this film is considered one of the most romantic of all time, according
to the American Film Institute. The film was a remake of McCarey's 1939
film Love Affair, starring Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer. An Affair to
Remember was almost identical to Love Affair on a scene-to-scene
basis. McCarey used the same screenplay as the original film, which was
penned by Delmer Daves and Donald Ogden Stewart. As the story elongates
we see the two parties attempting by all means to avoid the power of
temptations as they both have their loved ones, but the actions are
hardened to beat that truce which is where we see them to spend some
time away from each other.
They
decide to test whether this is the real thing by agreeing to split up,
then meet in six months atop the Empire State Building. the truth of the
matter is that most of us who saw the film have to come to the point of
consensus to say they tried every formula for puzzle to no avail which
it brings us to the questions such as Is there anyone who can resist
that setup or the tragic romantic mishap that nearly splits them up? Can
you keep dry eyes during the famous finale? Some prefer the original
(with Charles Boyer.
