Adele – 19 (named after her age at the time the songs were written) as the Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2009 and she is the multi Grammy awards nominee. However this time around she has been busy cooking up a storm on her second album that she has already finished with and is just waiting for the official release which according to her record labels (Columbia Records) is going to hit the shelves on the 22nd of February 2011. The title of the album she named it
Adele – 21 simply because it was current age when she recorded the album on the studio. The album was recorded in Malibu and London, and the album 21 offered Adele the opportunity to work with such luminary producers and songwriters as Rick Rubin, Paul Epworth, Ryan Tedder, Dan Wilson and Fraser T. Smith, as well as continuing to work with Francis “Eg” White and Jim Abbiss who have done the beyond the par level the absolute exceptional service to this album.
So if you are the ardent follower of this pop vocalist then you really need to be prepared to hear the brand new style and voice that this genius together with her prominent producers did on this album as it is classic, and contemporary roots and country music. The change in sound from her first album was the result of her bus driver playing contemporary Nashville music when she was touring the American South. Adele told Spin Magazine that "He listened to all this amazing country music and we'd rock out late at night, chain smoking and listening to Rascal Flatts" "It was really exciting for me because I never grew up around [that music]." In explaining the title choice, she states that it reflects the growth she has experienced in the last two years. The first single is a revenge tune "Rolling in the Deep", Adele described it as a "dark bluesy gospel disco tune." The single entered the UK charts at #2 while the album 21 went straight into #1 on 30 January 2011 alongside "Someone Like You" a track from the album entered the UK top 40 at #36 making Adele to have three singles and two albums all in the top 40 that week.
