Sword of GideonThis film basically based on the novel (
Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team by George Jonas )that inspired the movie
Munich which is about Mossad agents hunting down terrorists associated with the 1972 The Olympic Games which saw a young athletes being taken hostage by terrorists that ravaged and slayed one of the young athlete brutally which shocked the entire world in taking the tough stance against the terrorists that created hiccups and goosebumps everywhere. The rollover of the scenario is being depicted when we see Avner, an adept Israeli military officer is selected as the leader of a Mossad team of expert agents for a covert mission to avenge the Munich massacre and other recent terrorist acts. They are initially successful in their assassinations but as they progress it becomes harder and harder to find their targets and they themselves are targeted with varying success by their enemies. Avner, having lost the majority of his team, begins having doubts about the mission and finally calls it off. He wishes to retire from Mossad and rejoin the regular ranks of the IDF, but his case officer is reluctant to let his most valuable asset go. All in all the film managed to live up to the expectation true story of the men and women who were willing to risk their lives and leave their families to fight the still-raging terrorist wars - the wars that drive men of peace to commit acts of vengeance. Great actors that did the sheer brilliance of making this film the best film of the terrorists of all time ranges from the ever classic Peter Dvorsky, Steve Bauer, and Michael York together with many more of the splendid stars.
